Data Architecture \& Pipelines * Support the design and maintenance of ETL pipelines for processing and harmonizing internal and external biological datasets. * Help integrate large\-scale datasets (e.g., OpenTargets, STRING DB, Human Protein Atlas) into standardized, accessible formats. * Contribute to building infrastructure that supports analytical workflows, knowledge graphs, or AI\-driven tools. Collaboration \& Learning * Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and bioinformaticians to align infrastructure with research and analytical objectives. * Learn and adopt best practices in data management, infrastructure design, and software development. * Participate in team discussions, sharing ideas and collaborating to improve workflows. *SKILLS* **Education** * BS in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Engineering, or a related field. **Experience** * Internship or 1–2 years of hands\-on experience in data engineering, bioinformatics, or software development (biotech/pharma experience is a plus). * Exposure to ETL pipeline development or data integration projects. * Familiarity with agile development practices is a plus. **Technical Skills** * Programming experience with Python (preferred), SQL/no\-SQL; familiarity with R or other scripting languages is a plus. * Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure). * Interest in working with biological data sources such as OpenTargets, STRING DB, and Human Protein Atlas. **Soft Skills** * Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast\-paced, collaborative environment. * Good organizational skills with attention to detail. * Strong communication and teamwork abilities. **Nice\-to\-Haves** * Experience or interest in knowledge graphs or advanced data structures. * Curiosity about bioinformatics and applying software engineering to biology and health research.
