**Locations: Colombia only (remote)** Come join us at Odisea Cultura and work with some of the most exciting start\-ups in the US ### **The Role** Our client Pawsitive Foster is looking for a full stack software engineer to join their team as a contractor at the ground level with the potential to grow into a full time engineer position. ### **About Pawsitive Foster** Pawsitive Foster is a SaaS platform helping animal shelters streamline and centralize foster placements, starting with kittens. The mission is to make fostering easier, more efficient, and more impactful for shelters and volunteers alike. With our first beta client secured (Contra Costa County Animal Services), we're gearing up for a soft launch of our MVP in the next six weeks. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission\-driven startup at a pivotal moment to help take our product from working prototype to live pilot. ### **What You'll Do** As a full stack engineer, you'll be responsible for connecting the dots between our frontend and backend, ensuring the app is stable, reliable, and ready for launch. You'll work closely with our founder and lead sr. engineer to: * Complete wiring between frontend (Ionic \+ Vue) and backend (Node.js) * Debug existing systems and ensure clean, reliable API connections * Validate and test integrations to ensure maintainable, production\-ready code * Support future PLG readiness by helping automate onboarding, authentication, and payment setup for small shelter users. * Leverage AI agents (Gemini, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate debugging and documentation, not model training Collaborate on problem\-solving and knowledge\-sharing in a lean, startup environment * ### **What We're Looking For** We're not hung up on titles, degrees, or years of experience. What matters most is your ability to work independently, solve problems creatively, and ship clean, quality code. **Required Skills \& Experience** * Strong working knowledge of **Ionic \+ Vue (TypeScript)**, **Node.js**, and **Firebase** (Auth, Notifications) * Experience wiring **frontend backend** connections and working with **APIs** * Comfortable **debugging** and **validating** **integrations** * Familiarity with **PostgreSQL** (**Heroku**) and **Firebase** ecosystem **Core Competencies for Success** * **Clear, Proactive Communication.** You keep stakeholders aligned in a fast\-moving environment through concise Slack updates, visibility into progress, and comfort discussing tradeoffs in real time.
