We are building a **secure, intuitive, and high-performance platform**; our culture values **ownership**, **collaboration**, **continuous learning**, and **impact**. **The Challenge** We are seeking a **Cloud Engineer** to drive the evolution of our SaaS infrastructure toward a fully **100% cloud-native, secure, scalable, and automated architecture**. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and monitoring the infrastructure supporting thousands of financial transactions, ensuring **high availability, resilience, performance, and security**, as well as seamless integration with the payment services and financial process automation we provide. Your work will empower our engineering teams to deploy confidently, operate with full visibility, and scale critical services with agility. **What You’ll Do** * Design, implement, and maintain the **cloud infrastructure** (primarily AWS) supporting Kashio’s microservices and core modules. * Automate environment provisioning and configuration using **IaC (Terraform or CDK)**, ensuring consistency, reproducibility, and version control. * Manage and optimize **end-to-end observability** (logging, metrics, tracing, alerts) to ensure service availability and performance. * Administer **CI/CD pipelines** (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar), implementing secure, efficient workflows with automated deployments. * Implement **cloud security strategies** (secret management, KMS, IAM, access policies, network security, OWASP/PCI DSS awareness). * Actively participate in continuous improvement of the **infrastructure stack**, evaluating new technologies and patterns (Serverless, Containers, Event-driven). * Collaborate with **Backend, Data, and AI teams** to optimize workloads, pipelines, and deployments of intelligent services (scoring, automations, anomaly detection). * Create and maintain clear, up-to-date **technical documentation** (architecture diagrams, deployment and monitoring playbooks). * Promote **operational resilience practices**: failure testing, backups, DRP, and cloud cost control. **Our Stack (not exclusive)** * **Cloud:** AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Step Functions, KMS). * **IaC:** Terraform, AWS CDK, Ansible. * **Containers:** Docker, Kubernetes, Helm. * **CI/CD:** GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD. * **Observability:** CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, OpenTelemetry. * **Networking/Security:** VPC, WAF, Security Groups, Route 53, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS. * **Databases:** PostgreSQL/MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis. * **Languages & Scripting:** Python, Node.js, Bash. * **MLOps (desirable):** SageMaker, MLflow, Airflow or Kubeflow. **Essential Requirements** * **3+ years** of experience as a **Cloud Engineer / DevOps / SRE** in **SaaS or FinTech** environments. * Strong expertise in **AWS** (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM). * Proven experience with **Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK)**. * Solid knowledge of **CI/CD**, **containers**, **Kubernetes**, and **Docker**. * Experience in **observability, monitoring, and structured logging**. * Knowledge of **cloud security**: IAM, access policies, encryption, KMS, secrets management. * Familiarity with **event-driven and microservices architectures**. * Ability to debug and resolve production incidents (performance, scalability, availability). * Intermediate technical English (reading documentation and basic technical communication). **Nice to Have** * **AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer / SysOps** certification. * Experience with **GCP or Azure**. * Experience with **Kafka, RabbitMQ**, or message/event queue systems. * Knowledge of **PCI DSS, ISO 27001**, or compliance in financial environments. * Experience optimizing cloud costs (FinOps). * Contributions to open-source projects or public repositories. * Experience collaborating with development and AI teams on model deployment (MLOps). **Who Fits Well Here** * **Owner of deliverables**, with a “you build it, you run it” mindset. * **Curious** about automating and continuously improving infrastructure. * **Rigorous about security and reliability** in every change. * **Collaborative and empathetic** with development, operations, and product teams. * **Clear communicator**, able to document and share knowledge effectively. * Comfortable with change, rapid iteration, and ambiguity. **Conditions** * **100% remote**. * **Working hours:** Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 (GMT-5). * Participation in the company’s **Stock Options program**. * Real opportunity to **directly impact** the platform used by hundreds of businesses and to **grow** alongside a high-performing regional team. **Are you interested?** Send your **CV** to **recruitment@kashio.net** with subject line: **Cloud Engineer**.
