Job Summary: We are seeking a service-oriented bar assistant with the ability to learn store management, responsible for beverage preparation, baking, and maintenance. Key Highlights: 1. General Responsibilities * Perform the opening checklist. * Be capable of preparing hot and cold beverages, and know the recipes for each preparation. * Bake puff pastry (if the pastry chef is unavailable or unable to complete it), cheese sticks, croissants, and empanadas. * Prepare ready-to-serve meals. * Set up bakery items, tableware, glasses, or other necessary equipment for each service. Ensure all ingredients and utensils required to prepare each order are available. * Before and during service, the bar floor and display case must be clean. * Assist with weekly general cleaning, including lamps, windows, drawers, and various areas of the store. * Keep tables and chairs clean and organized for customers, as well as maintain overall cleanliness of the establishment—including floors, restrooms, and the bar area (this activity is performed collaboratively with coworkers). * Set up bakery items, glasses, sugar, straws, spoons, and other service materials for each order. * Perform preparations to expedite Soca recipe preparations, scoop ice cream, assemble paninis, set up glasses with collars, organize and keep merchandising displays and impulse products clean; organize coffee displays with end-of-day adjustments. * Visualize, plan, and organize production of items requested in upcoming orders, initiating two or more identical preparations—or preparations sharing the same base—simultaneously. * Serve beverages and prepared food on appropriate tableware or implements designated for each product. * Stock the bakery display case, puff pastry items, and cakes (with glaze). * Assemble the granita machine (coffee and Cholupa always at proper level); verify correct assembly. * Maintain and clean the coffee machine and related utensils. * During closing shift, lower the granita level. * Verify the store’s opening and closing checklists.
