Ensures structural integrity and regulatory compliance for infrastructure **PURPOSE:** The Structural Engineer ("Engineer") plays a key role in executing structural engineering design and analysis for telecommunications and wireless communications infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for ensuring structural integrity and regulatory compliance for both new and existing structures—whether built or unbuilt—as well as non-structural components. This role supports the entire project lifecycle—from conception and design through implementation and quality assurance—collaborating closely with clients, contractors, project design teams, and regulatory authorities. The Engineer will prepare detailed reports, calculations, and technical analyses, and provide quality control supervision over work performed by other engineers. This role directly contributes to the safety, reliability, and innovation of tower and telecommunications network projects, supporting the company’s mission to connect communities through innovative infrastructure solutions. **RESPONSIBILITIES:*** **Structural Analysis and Design** * Perform structural and erection analyses, and design for new and existing built and unbuilt structures (e.g., towers and monopoles), and non-structural equipment—including anchoring systems and foundation elements. * Develop and design modifications for tower reinforcements, extensions, and foundations, ensuring compliance with structural codes and client specifications. * Evaluate engineering alternatives and recommend solutions that balance safety, performance, and cost efficiency. * **Technical Documentation and Reporting** * Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, and documentation clearly communicating design assumptions, methodologies, and results. * Conduct and/or review Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) checks on structural analyses, drawings, and engineering deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. * Support construction administration activities, including review of shop drawings, RFIs, and technical deliverables. * **Stakeholder Collaboration and Coordination** * Collaborate with A\&E Project Managers, drafters, senior engineers, clients, contractors, construction officials, and other external consultants to align structural design requirements with project objectives. * Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and external stakeholders, providing timely responses to structural-related inquiries. * Coordinate with authorities and regulatory bodies to demonstrate code compliance and obtain required permits and approvals. * **Field Operations and On-Site Support** * Conduct site visits and field assessments to verify existing conditions and support design feasibility. * Prepare detailed field reports documenting observations, measurements, and engineering recommendations. * **Compliance, Safety, and Continuous Improvement** * Ensure all work complies with federal, state, local, and corporate safety standards, internal policies, and engineering practice codes. * Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, standardization, and process quality within the engineering team. * Support mentoring and knowledge transfer initiatives to foster the technical development of the team. * **Additional Responsibilities** Responsibilities and tasks may evolve based on organizational needs. The position operates in a standard office environment. Daily standing, sitting, and walking are required. The position involves minimal travel. **REQUIREMENTS:**### **Required** * **Education and Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. * Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with ability to obtain licenses in multiple states as required. * Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis. * **Technical Knowledge** * Proven experience preparing construction documents and performing Erection Analysis and Structural Evaluations for monopoles, towers, tanks, and buildings. * Strong knowledge of structural design principles across multiple materials (steel, concrete, wood, and masonry) and applicable codes and standards (IBC, TIA\-222, ASCE, etc.). * Proficiency in structural engineering software such as tnxTower, RISA 3D, Mathcad, and Enercalc. * Solid understanding of construction practices and principles. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook). * **Project and Time Management** * Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining accountability and accuracy. * **Collaboration and Communication** * Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal—with ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. * Experience working in collaborative environments involving multiple offices, disciplines, and clients. * Excellent technical writing skills to produce clear, concise engineering documentation and reports. **Preferred** ------------ * **Education** * Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering. * **Certifications** * Structural Engineering license. * **Experience and Technical Knowledge** * Familiarity with telecommunications operator standards and permitting processes—particularly those applicable to wireless infrastructure and site development. * Practical knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting and modeling software used in structural and telecommunications design. * Experience applying international telecommunications standards—including Eurocodes, LATAM regulations, or other regional frameworks—to ensure global compliance and consistency. * **Global Collaboration and Communication** * Proficiency in English, Italian, or French enabling effective communication and collaboration in PTI Services’ international markets. * Cultural agility and openness to working with diverse teams and clients across geographies. *It is the policy and practice of this company to prohibit any form of discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, transgender status, origin, nationality, age, disability, military or veteran status, or membership in any group protected by federal, state, or local law.*
