We are currently seeking **Data Engineers – Colombia** The selected candidate will participate in the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines and data products on AWS, contributing to the construction of Data Lake / Data Mesh architectures aligned with quality standards, scalability, and sound data engineering practices. **Role Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion processes and ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS. * Build and optimize data processing solutions using AWS Glue, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, Redshift, and Athena. * Design data pipelines from structured, semi-structured, and file-based sources into Amazon S3\. * Apply sound development practices, modularization, and use of libraries such as PySpark and Pandas. * Develop SQL queries for data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and analytics. * Participate in optimizing data loads and distributed processing with Apache Spark. * Manage metadata and cataloging using AWS Glue Data Catalog. * Orchestrate data pipelines with Apache Airflow / MWAA (based on role level). * Implement unit tests and data quality controls (based on role level). * Collaborate on version control and Git repository workflows. * Support the design and evolution of data products and Data Lake / Data Mesh architectures. ✅ **Position Requirements** **Professional Experience** Experience in data engineering or participation in ETL/ELT projects (Junior, Semi-Senior, or Senior level). **Data Engineering (AWS)** * AWS Glue, Python, PySpark, and Spark SQL. * Experience with Redshift, Athena, and S3 storage. * Building data pipelines and distributed processing. **SQL & Data Processing** * Development of SQL queries for transformation and validation. * Handling large volumes of data. **Development Best Practices** * Code modularization and use of data libraries. * Version control with Git. **Data Platforms (per level)** * Experience with Data Lake / Data Mesh. * Orchestration with Airflow / MWAA. * Implementation of tests and data quality controls. ✅ **Desirable Qualifications** * AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate. * AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. * Experience designing data products on AWS. * Residency in Medellín.
