We are now expanding our AI capabilities and looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help lead the development, training, fine\-tuning, and deployment of custom AI models across multiple areas of the business. **Job Description:** Goxee is looking for a hands\-on Machine Learning Engineer with strong experience in building, training, fine\-tuning, and deploying AI models. This role is not for someone who only connects third\-party AI APIs. We are looking for someone who understands how to build real machine learning workflows, prepare datasets, train models, evaluate results, improve performance, and deploy production\-ready AI systems. The right person will work with Goxee on multiple AI initiatives over time, including computer vision, generative AI, data analysis, classification, prediction, content generation, automation, and other business\-specific machine learning applications. **What We Are Building:** Goxee is building AI systems that can support different areas of the automotive retail business. This includes tools that help dealerships with customer communication, inventory presentation, advertising, data analysis, process automation, and decision\-making. This role will help us create models for multiple purposes, starting with high\-impact projects that require strong machine learning, computer vision, and production deployment experience. We need someone who can help us decide when to use existing models, when to fine\-tune, when to train custom models, and how to deploy everything reliably on AWS. **Responsibilities:** Lead the development of custom AI and machine learning models for Goxee’s internal and customer\-facing products. * Prepare, clean, label, and structure datasets for training and fine\-tuning. * Train, fine\-tune, test, and improve models for different business needs. * Evaluate model accuracy, reliability, speed, quality, and production readiness. * Work with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar tools. * Build repeatable training pipelines that can support multiple AI projects across Goxee. * Research and recommend the right model architecture for each use case. * Work with computer vision, generative AI, natural language processing, classification, prediction, and other ML workflows as needed. * Optimize models for GPU inference, scalability, and cost efficiency. * Deploy trained models into production as APIs. * Build backend endpoints that allow Goxee’s platform to send data to the model and receive results. * Deploy and manage AI infrastructure on AWS using services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SageMaker, or similar tools. * Help define Goxee’s long\-term AI architecture, model strategy, and technical direction. **Required Experience:** * Strong experience in machine learning and deep learning. * Proven experience training or fine\-tuning AI models, not only using existing AI APIs. * Strong Python development experience. * Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar machine learning frameworks. * Experience preparing datasets, labeling data, training models, testing results, and improving model performance. * Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments. * Strong AWS experience, especially for model hosting and API\-based deployment. * Experience with Docker, REST APIs, FastAPI, Flask, or similar backend tools. * Ability to take ownership of AI projects from concept to production. **Preferred Experience:** * Experience building AI models for multiple business use cases. * Experience with computer vision, generative AI, NLP, classification, prediction, or recommendation systems. * Experience with GPU optimization and scalable inference. * Experience with SageMaker, Triton Inference Server, TorchServe, or custom model\-serving APIs. * Experience with fine\-tuning, LoRA training, diffusion models, transformer models, or custom neural network pipelines. * Experience building internal AI infrastructure that can support multiple models over time. **Ideal Candidate:** You are a hands\-on machine learning engineer who knows how to move from idea to dataset, from dataset to trained model, and from trained model to production API. You are comfortable leading technical decisions, experimenting with different model approaches, improving results over time, and building AI systems that can scale.
