About the Position We are seeking a Mid\-Level Process Design Engineer to join our growing Process team in our Bogotá office. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in process design related to the energy sector. Experience in Oil \& Gas, especially in midstream and biogas, is valued. The candidate will support a variety of multidisciplinary energy projects and will also interact with clients. **Knowledge and Experience:** * Over 5 years of experience in energy, specifically in Oil \& Gas, midstream, and biogas or in mechanical process design engineering. * Advanced experience in engineering design principles, applicable guides, codes, and standards. * Full understanding of process design and management of process engineering work. * Ability to deliver presentations to clients. * Ability to produce complete process engineering documents and review vendor drawings and specifications. * Ability to design P\&IDs and supervise the drafting team. * Ability to size and generate equipment specifications. * Familiarity with equipment, piping, and instrumentation specification and installation. * Experience with process simulation (e.g., ASPEN Plus, HYSYS, CHEMCAD, Promax, PRO II). * Experience with hydraulic software (e.g., AFT Fathom, Arrow, PIPE\-FLO). * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). **Education:** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. **Responsibilities:** * Lead process engineering tasks in a multidisciplinary environment under general supervision. * Deliver process engineering deliverables on time, within budget, and with the quality and accuracy expected by clients. * Knowledge of process design and process safety. * Develop process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment specifications, equipment data sheets, and cost studies. Support layout development. * Supervise the P\&ID drafting team. * Review and approve process deliverables. * Create project\-specific design basis, incorporate client requirements, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and standards. * Identify and report changes in project scope to the supervisor. * Produce optimal designs, engineering calculations, preliminary designs, and material lists suitable for cost estimates. * Review vendor fabrication drawings and other construction documents to verify process design, industry codes/standards, and good engineering practices. * Coordinate and consult with other disciplines to ensure quality and workflow of the project. * Participate in client presentations. **Benefits:** * Competitive salary and professional growth opportunities. * Participation in high\-impact infrastructure projects.
