To support this mission, Syngenta's Direct Procurement team is seeking a Direct Procurement Buyer in Cartagena, Colombia. For this role, we are looking for a strategic procurement professional to lead the portfolio at our Cartagena plant, who will be responsible for optimizing the value chain through effective supplier management and procurement processes. **Responsibilities** * Lead raw material procurement processes, ensuring optimal cost\-benefit ratio, quality, and delivery timelines, while developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers to support the company’s business objectives. * Play a key role as a strategic procurement partner (all portfolios) at the Cartagena plant, solving problems, communicating effectively, and properly managing planned activities. * Supplier management: Develop and maintain strategic relationships, coordinate performance evaluations and audits, negotiate collaboration agreements, and provide support in supplier development programs. * Procurement processes: Manage complex and high-value procurement categories, analyze supplier markets and identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations. * Analysis and strategy: Develop category-specific sourcing strategies, conduct spend analysis and financial exercises (standard, budgetary, and continuous forecast updates), and monitor market trends and price fluctuations. **Requirements** **Essential for this position:** * Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement/purchasing. * Experience in negotiating high-value contracts. * Knowledge in supplier management and strategic sourcing. * Experience in the chemical/agrochemical industry (desirable). * Proficiency in analytical tools (advanced Excel, Power BI). * Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP). * Advanced English (spoken and written). * Knowledge of regulations and compliance. **Additional Information** **Be Part of the Syngenta Experience** * Competitive salary and attractive benefits. * Dynamic and international environment. * Modern office environment and collaboration tools. * Forward-thinking policies (e.g., remote work, professional breaks). * Supports personal development in a diverse and inclusive environment. **Important:** Beyond simply believing in the power of diversity, Syngenta fosters an inclusive culture that embraces differences in all forms.
