Under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the incumbent is responsible for operating land transport vehicles. The role may also involve providing basic administrative support in the office or warehouse. RESPONSABILIDADES: Provide efficient and safe transportation services for authorized personnel and/or goods. Deliver and collect various items/products following authorized routes and adhering to United Nations safety rules and regulations to ensure secure and efficient service. Receive official staff and visitors at airports or other arrival points, and provide basic assistance to facilitate smooth and secure arrivals at designated destinations. Carefully maintain vehicle logs and report daily to the supervisor on the mechanical condition of the vehicle to ensure efficient vehicle use and fuel consumption, contributing to accurate accountability and cost-effective operations. Be responsible for keeping the assigned vehicle and all related equipment clean and in good condition, carrying out timely maintenance tasks, ensuring the vehicle is fully equipped with required travel authorizations and supplies, and promptly reporting any mechanical issues to the supervisor to ensure safe and efficient service. Follow established procedures for field deliveries and/or in case of accidents, immediately reporting any evident problems to the supervisor to request instructions and enable informed decision-making on next steps. Perform basic office-related tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining orderly warehouses as needed, including delivering or collecting various items, handling mail services, and paying telephone bills and other office invoices, in order to provide administrative support to clients. REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS REQUERIDOS: Education:* Completion of secondary school education. * Valid driver's license category B1 or higher, with no traffic violations. Specific Experience:* Minimum of two (2) years of professional driving experience, preferably with an international organization, embassy, or within the United Nations system, with a demonstrated history of safe driving. * Experience driving various brands and models of vehicles, including pickups, trucks, and other motor vehicles. Defensive driving experience will be considered an advantage. Competencies* Knowledge of driving regulations, driver protocol and courteous conduct, local roads and routes including their conditions, and security-related issues. * Knowledge of safety rules and equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, portable floating safety devices, etc.). * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. * Basic skills to assist in emergencies, including knowledge of basic first aid methods. * Familiarity with and ability to operate radio equipment, email, telephone, and other communication devices. * Ability to assess a vehicle's mechanical fitness and technical knowledge to perform minor repairs. * Customer-oriented approach, strong sense of responsibility, courtesy, and tact.
