Gluing Operator Job Profile Secondary basic education (certificate in graphic arts or related fields is desirable). Minimum 1 year of experience operating binding and finishing machines. Challenge: Operate and maintain gluing machines, ensuring precise and uniform adhesive application on printed materials, meeting established quality and production standards. Responsibilities • Operate automatic or semi-automatic gluing machines according to job type (e.g., folding and gluing boxes, applying adhesive to book covers). * Adjust machine parameters (speed, pressure, adhesive temperature) based on material and technical specifications. • Prepare and mix adhesives following manufacturer instructions and safety regulations. • Monitor the gluing process, verifying correct adhesive application and bonding quality. • Perform preventive maintenance on machines, lubricating and cleaning components. • Optimize adhesive usage, minimizing waste and maximizing input efficiency. • Ensure organization of the gluing area, maintaining order and cleanliness.
