We promote knowledge of the German language abroad, foster international cultural cooperation, and convey a comprehensive, differentiated, and up-to-date image of Germany. For our institute in Bogotá (Colombia), we are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual as Commissioned Manager for Language Course Management starting January 1, 2026, or by mutual agreement. **WHAT AWAITS YOU** -------------------- * Management of language course and examination operations at the Goethe-Institut Colombia, including resource allocation in collaboration with the head of the language department * Planning, organization, and evaluation of language courses and examinations * Participation in financial and budget planning within the language programs * Ensuring implementation of the internal quality portfolio for language courses and examinations, including quality management * Continuous development of course and examination offerings in line with the institute's strategic objectives * Staff development, identifying training and further education needs, organizing and conducting internal training sessions and qualification programs, leading professional conferences and staff meetings, selecting and onboarding new teachers * Advising and supporting corporate clients, employers, and other institutional clients in Colombia and Germany; expanding offerings for target groups in the field of skilled labor migration * Contributing to promotional activities and designing marketing strategies to promote language courses and exams in Colombia * Maintaining and expanding collaborations with institutions in the fields of language courses and examinations, particularly educational authorities, educational institutions, and Colombian and foreign language and cultural institutes **WHAT CHARACTERIZES YOU** ------------------------ * Completed university degree in German studies, German as a foreign language, modern linguistics, or a comparable field * Several years of relevant professional experience in language course and examination management, ideally at a Goethe-Institut or similar educational institution * Solid knowledge of methodology and didactics of German as a foreign language and of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) * Strong strategic and business thinking, ideally with experience in budget planning and control * Experience in personnel management, team coordination, quality assurance, and development * Proficient in using course and examination management systems, digital learning platforms, and teaching tools * Excellent communication skills, organizational talent, and resilience * Initiative, solution-oriented mindset, creativity, and strong ability to cooperate * Very good command of German at C2 level both written and spoken, and very good Spanish skills at least at C1 level **WHAT WE OFFER YOU** ------------------------ * A challenging and diverse role within a dynamically evolving work environment * Collaboration within an engaged, cooperative, and highly qualified team * Support in applying for a Colombian residence and work permit, if not already held Working conditions are governed by Colombian law.
