




The intern supports the local accountant with the recording of key transactions related to the reimbursement of travel expenses, inventory in transit control, accounting for tariffs and VAT from import declarations, tracking employee receivables, confirmation of accounts receivable and payable balances, among others **Essential Responsibilities** * Record monthly bank statement into the corporate credit card system * Account for employee travel expense reimbursements for those holding corporate cards * Monitor and reconcile account receivable 107215 travel advance payments * Prepare balance confirmation letters for accounts receivable and accounts payable as requested by suppliers and customers * Perform review and control of inventory in transit accounts to close purchase orders by identifying pending receipts or invoices * Support preparation of documentation for Sarbanes Oxley audit by monitoring and controlling discrepancies identified in validation files by module (accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets) * Account for tariffs and VAT on company importations * Place purchase requests and record receipts in the COUPA platform to request goods and services for the finance department * Record monthly amortizations of deferred expenses * Confirm monthly payroll balances * Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure no discrepancies exist * Perform monthly accounting for the site service expense allocation file * Participate in new system implementation projects * Ensure compliance with global corporate policies and their alignment with current Colombian regulations * Improve and assist in creating new processes to optimize and standardize local accounting procedures **Education** Currently enrolled student pursuing a technical or technological degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related fields. **Other Requirements** Must not have previously signed an apprenticeship agreement Must have approval from educational institution to complete internship, preferably for one year or at least six months.
