We are bridging two worlds—advancing toward more sustainable energy sources while also helping provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed today. **Position Objective:** Be responsible for executing and assigning complex or highly difficult engineering tasks due to advanced knowledge, specialization, experience within one or multiple areas of engineering and particular discipline, as well as other types of products and systems. Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to lead small groups within projects or work teams. **Main Responsibilities:** * Make responsible decisions regarding the direction of engineering deliverables, drafting, and modeling. Difficult, complex or unusual decisions will be referred to the Engineering Manager or local Discipline Manager. * Work autonomously, enabling planning and organization of tasks on assigned projects, both personal and team-related, if leading a team. * Perform duties based on self-initiated technical interaction and guidance from supervisor (discipline manager), subsequently influencing team objectives and responsibilities. * Receive, manage, and carry out project-related assignments with specific goals and priorities, considering critical areas that may impact other units’ work. May supervise activities or be supervised for accuracy, completeness and goal compliance verification. * Work within teams of up to 10 people who report directly, either by participating or leading, which may include engineers and designers from the same discipline, though total team size could be significantly larger with coordinated support. May have authority for performance evaluations affecting other professionals’ salaries. * Maintain constant and effective communication with the work team to inform and persuade on complex matters and issues through preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations, and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and discipline management. * Be proficient in using tools such as Microsoft 365 and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams). Navigate intranet pages, perform searches, and retrieve information. Organize information from multiple sources and retain it according to established formats and policies. * Competently and efficiently use specialized design, analysis and modeling tools, and interdisciplinary data-centric methods. * Build appropriate, constructive, and effective relationships across the organization; use diplomacy and tact, be approachable, communicate clearly, precisely, and coherently both verbally and in writing. Apply active listening principles and encourage feedback exchange among team members. * Work within teams visible to high-level stakeholders, capable of collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders, able to prioritize workloads and help other team members achieve their goals. * Achieve established results independently and collectively, meeting defined deadlines. * Strive to achieve ambitious goals, demonstrating enthusiasm, persistence, and tenacity. * Break down and prioritize work into actionable tasks. * Take ownership of produced work and ensure it is "right first time." * Adapt to learning and implementing new, increasingly complex concepts. * Examine problems carefully and thoroughly, understand interdependencies, and propose solutions. **What You’ll Bring?** **Software, Processes and Tools:** * Typically possess over 10 years of relevant experience in the discipline and competent knowledge and understanding of regulations, codes, design and manufacturing standards, and standard industry practices. Additionally, must have solid knowledge in project cost estimation and proposal content writing. * Experience in performing conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering for industry projects (Oil \& Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, among others).
