The Senior Accountant will lead and execute accounting and reporting activities for Colombia, covering multiple company codes under Functional Areas FA99, FA03, and FA04\. The role includes managing general ledger transactions, performing account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate month\-end closings, and supporting tax and statutory compliance in close collaboration with the local Statutory \& Compliance (ST\&CC) team. **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and account reconciliations (including balance sheet and intercompany). * Lead monthly and annual closing processes for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. * Ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS, and applicable Colombian regulations. * Collaborate closely with the ST\&CC team on statutory financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory submissions. * Support audits (internal and external) and tax reporting requirements (DIAN filings: VAT, withholding taxes, ICA, exogenous information; Superintendencia de Sociedades reporting). * Contribute to process harmonization, controls, and documentation within FA02 and FA04; identify and implement improvements for RTR efficiency and quality. * Maintain GL integrity, including fixed assets, provisions, reclassifications, and intercompany settlements. * Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members when needed. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on Record to Report (RTR) processes. * Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with Colombian tax and statutory requirements. * Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel. * Excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast\-paced, global environment. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Fluency in English and Spanish. * Experience in an audit firm (e.g., Big Four or equivalent) is desirable.
