**Job Offer: Nursing Assistant** Gerontological Center – Bogotá, D.C. \- North Zone **Contract Type:** Indefinite term with a 2-month probation period **Work Schedule:** Rotating and Night Shifts according to schedule * JOB OBJECTIVE * Provide comprehensive, caring, and professional attention to individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral decline, promoting their well-being, dignity, and quality of life. Accompany and support them in their daily activities, strengthen family bonds, and respect their emotional, mental, and physical needs, ensuring a warm, close, and safe environment. * MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Personal care and direct assistance: * Assist with feeding, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. * Supervise and support during activities of daily living (ADLs). * Emotional support: * Promote empathetic interaction, active listening, and positive communication. * Health status monitoring: * Monitor vital signs and physical or behavioral changes. * Report abnormalities and assist in medication administration under supervision. * Promotion of a warm environment: * Help make the center feel like home: assist in decoration and personalization of spaces. * Teamwork: * Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and coordinate care plans with families and professionals. * Emergency management: * Act promptly according to established protocols and procedures. * Promotion of respect and dignity: * Promote practices that respect autonomy and avoid stereotypes about aging and illness. * Training and continuous improvement: * Attend gerontological training sessions and suggest improvements in care delivery. * DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES * **Social:** Treat residents with constant empathy, respect, and dignity. * **Technical:** Strictly follow care protocols and emergency management procedures. * **Ethical:** Maintain confidentiality of personal and clinical data. * **Organizational:** Actively contribute to trainings and continuous improvement processes. * JOB REQUIREMENTS * **Education:** Technical or technological degree in nursing, nursing assistant, or related gerontological care training (desirable). * Valid RETHUS registration * **Previous Experience:** Minimum 1 year in similar roles, preferably in geriatric or healthcare settings. * **Skills:** Empathy, service vocation, effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. * **Essential Knowledge:** * Fundamentals of gerontology and aging. * Personal care techniques and first aid. * Hygiene, safety, and emergency management protocols. * Customer service and communication.**Application:** **Send your updated CV with contact information to the following emails: contabilidadmafesas@gmail.com adm.mafesas@gmail.com dir.mafesas@gmail.com, with the subject line CV – NURSING ASSISTANT**.
