Ensures business operations are timely and efficient to properly deliver services. Assists in leading all daily sales-related activities and focuses on building value-based, long-term customer relationships to achieve sales goals. Achieves individual sales targets. **Candidate Profile** **Education and Experience Requirements** * Two-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality and Restaurant Management, or a related major; 3 years of experience in Sales and Marketing or related professional field. Or * Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year of experience in Sales and Marketing or related professional field. **Core Work Activities** **Build Successful Relationships That Generate Sales Opportunities** * Collaborate with external hotel sales channels to ensure coordinated and complementary, rather than duplicative, sales efforts. * Establish and strengthen relationships with existing and new clients to secure future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment events, FAM trips, trade shows, etc. * Develop relationships within the community to enhance and expand the client base for sales opportunities. * Manage and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. * Provide accurate, comprehensive, and effective revenue information to the Banquet Operations team. **Manage Sales Activities** * Conduct sales visit follow-ups with sales team members to obtain new business and/or close deals. * Execute and support operational aspects of booking business (e.g., generate proposals, write contracts, customer correspondence). **Understand Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue** * Identify new business opportunities to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals. * Understand the overall market — competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand dynamics — and know how to sell effectively within these factors. * Identify and seize the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs. * Understand the hotel’s key target customers and service expectations; serve them and provide better business solutions by understanding their business, challenges, and concerns. **Deliver Exceptional Customer Service** * Support the company’s service and relationship strategy by delivering outstanding service during every customer interaction to enhance customer loyalty. * Serve customers to increase market share. * Implement and support the company’s customer service standards. * Deliver exceptional customer service consistent with the company’s daily service fundamentals. * Set a positive example in customer relationship management. * Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels. *Marriott International is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and welcomes individuals of all backgrounds.
