Responsible for participating in activities related to maintenance, setup, testing, and operation of equipment at customer facilities and in the field. **Assists in providing technical, operational, and practical expertise** for technology development projects and coring operations. **Obtains relevant information regarding the work required by the customer** and communicates it effectively to other team members at the worksite. **Completes appropriate documents, reports, and forms** affecting the financial results of the business unit (field ticket, etc.). Job tasks, when performed correctly, **indirectly impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations**. Given the nature of service work in oilfields, **the ability to communicate effectively with others is required**. **Promotes awareness of safety and the environment**, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. **Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and guidelines**. Promotes and actively participates in quality improvement processes. **Requirements** ------------------ * Technical or technological degree in mechanical, petroleum, or related field. * 1\+ year of experience in coring assistant-related activities. * Prior experience with drilling bits preferred. * Promotes and actively participates in quality improvement processes. **Note: The employment contract will have a total duration of 30 days, due to staffing needs for a new project.** **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** -------------------------------------------- * **Must be able to identify** basic coring processes and/or service tools and equipment. * **Must be able to assemble** tools and equipment under supervision. * **Must possess practical knowledge** of core drills and/or coring tools (Coring/HE). * Basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are required. * Basic reading and writing comprehension skills are required. * Basic computer skills are preferred. * **Understands Global HSE Standards** (Health, Safety, and Environment). **Halliburton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
