We are seeking a **Lead Data Scientist** to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering an advanced warehouse safety solution using state\-of\-the\-art computer vision technology. This project is designed to improve safety standards in Amazon warehouses by analyzing video footage to detect safety hazards and unusual events. *We accept* *CVs in English only.* **Responsibilities** * Guide the design and implementation of computer vision models for object and anomaly detection using frameworks like YOLO and Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth * Improve model performance, scalability, and accuracy through hyperparameter optimization and data augmentation strategies * Assess and incorporate large language models to enhance features such as data labeling and extracting insights * Manage the end\-to\-end lifecycle of AI and machine learning models, from data annotation to deploying inference pipelines in production * Work closely with ML Ops engineers to integrate models into robust pipelines that follow AWS architectural best practices * Ensure the delivery of high\-quality annotated data using Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth for effective model training * Analyze dataset reliability and model performance to boost accuracy in real\-world computer vision applications **Requirements** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a related field * Over 5 years of experience in data science or a similar discipline * At least one year of experience in leading and managing development teams * Advanced knowledge of computer vision algorithms and frameworks, especially YOLO and modern object detection models * Extensive experience with Amazon SageMaker, including Ground Truth for data labeling and building scalable machine learning pipelines * Strong programming skills in Python, with a focus on data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning workflows * Proficiency in AWS cloud\-native architecture, including services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, S3, and SNS/SQS * Demonstrated success in developing and deploying AI and machine learning systems in production environments * Familiarity with model evaluation metrics like precision, recall, and F1 score, and their use in model optimization * Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, at B2\+ level or higher **Nice to have** * Understanding of AWS edge services such as AWS Panorama for deploying computer vision solutions on IoT devices **We offer** * Learning Culture \- We want you to be the best version of yourself, that is why we offer unlimited access to learning platforms, a wide range of internal courses, and all the knowledge you need to grow professionally * Health Coverage \- Health and wellness are important, that is why we have you and up to four family members in a premiere health plan.
