**Drilling Engineer II** **Job Description** We are seeking a Drilling Engineer II with proven competencies in DE (Drilling Engineering), FE MLWD (Formation Evaluation Measurement While Drilling/Logging While Drilling), and FE DD/BHE (Formation Evaluation Directional Drilling/Bottom Hole Engineering). The ideal candidate must possess advanced skills in using specialized software such as OneSync, 5D, QV, CENTRO, and Spectrum, as well as in-depth knowledge of WFRD Colombia databases, various industry tools, and Colombian fields. Experience in logistical management of tools and personnel is required, with a minimum of 2 years in similar positions. Position Purpose The Drilling Engineer II provides a critical technical interface between directional drilling personnel, Weatherford well planners, Weatherford RTOCs (Real\-Time Operations Centers), and customers. This role is responsible for compiling and maintaining information for proposals, daily updates, and end-of-well reports for internal use and customer support. Based on experience across multiple complex environments, the engineer leads the design and planning of conventional and/or complex wells and actively participates in bid responses related to these projects. The engineer strictly follows the Drilling Engineering process and provides real-time support to Drilling Services (DS) engineers and customers. **Responsibilities** * Know and comply with the Drilling Engineering (DE) Standard and approved local appendices. * Follow the "fundamental rules" of drilling engineering. * Comply with standards, internal processes, drilling instructions, and operating procedures during planning and execution phases. * Maintain constant communication with direct management. * Manage the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) process to create and maintain a drilling event database for risk analysis. * Support training for directional drillers and MWD/LWD field personnel in engineering analysis and root cause analysis (Tap Root). * Perform quality control of drilling data received from the field to produce daily monitoring analysis. * Execute and interpret all drilling engineering analyses during the design phase: BHA design, BHA stability, hydraulics, torque and drag, and BHA vibration modeling. * Prepare standard Weatherford drilling engineering design technical reports for assigned jobs. * Attend pre\-planning meetings and daily meetings with the RTOC team, Weatherford office support, and customers. * Conduct well risk assessments and develop action/contingency plans for each identified risk. * Support Drilling Services technical sales when required. * Participate in Drilling Service Delivery and QHSSE initiatives. * Participate in Drilling Engineering audits and provide support to complete corrective actions. * Demonstrate fluency in technical language related to Drilling Engineering and Directional Drilling. * Comply with Weatherford's Quality Policy and all Quality System requirements. * Adhere to all Weatherford company safety standards and policies. * Be available for off-hours support as needed. **Requirements** **Essential:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university. * Minimum 6 months of experience in directional well planning. * Minimum 1 year of experience in directional drilling. * Minimum 6 months of experience in RTOC operations. * Minimum 2\.5 years of experience as Drilling Engineer 1\. * Proficiency in specialized software: OneSync, 5D, QV, CENTRO, and Spectrum. * Knowledge of WFRD Colombia databases. * Experience in logistical management of tools and personnel. **Desirable:** * 1 to 2 years of experience in directional well planning. * 3 to 5 years of experience in directional drilling. * 1 year of experience in RTOC operations. * 4 years of experience as Drilling Engineer 1\.
