Join a purpose driven winning team that promotes creativity and innovation in a fast\-paced environment, where we’re always committed to results, in an inclusive, diverse, and high\-performing culture. **Accountabilities** * Drive strategic transformation of Scotiabank platforms by leveraging modern technologies including Java 17\+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions that meet evolving business needs. * Lead the documentation, development, and implementation of high\-quality solutions that align with operational excellence standards * Ensure proactive operation of digital solutions to minimize customer\-impacting incidents and uphold integrity, performance, and reliability expectations * Champion a customer\-focused culture by fostering strong relationships with business users and stakeholders * Conduct hands\-on analysis and solutioning, consistently prioritizing quality and long\-term sustainability * Contribute to the continuous evolution of Scotiabank platforms through the adoption of innovative technologies and development practices **Education / Experience / Other Information.** * Over 7 years of progressive experience in software development and the IT industry, including experience in leadership roles managing and mentoring high\-performance teams. * Proven track record in systems design and specification for medium to large\-scale applications Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable and reliable solutions across diverse technology stacks Technical Expertise: * Strong programming skills in Java (version 17 and above), with hands\-on experience in Spring Boot for building robust enterprise applications * Proficient in Node.js and React, with exposure to a wide spectrum of technologies * Skilled in cloud development and deployment using platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud * Deep understanding of agile delivery methodologies, including Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps culture * Practical experience with extreme programming practices and familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies Leadership \& Collaboration: * Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills * Skilled at building collaboration and alignment across stakeholder groups and cross\-functional technology teams * Committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement \#COLGBS. \#LI\-HYBRID Location(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota ScotiaTech is a business unit within ScotiaGBS, a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia.
