At AES Colombia, we are looking for a **Plant Operator** to join our team and contribute to the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our power generation facilities. Your mission will be to supervise and operate units and equipment associated with electrical power generation, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery under high standards of safety, environmental protection, and asset stewardship. **Key Responsibilities:** * Supervise and operate power generation units and associated assets, ensuring efficient, reliable, and safe operation. * Activate and execute contingency plans for safety, environment, and operations, reporting abnormal events or conditions. * Comply with energy dispatch processes in accordance with applicable regulations and current procedures. * Monitor reservoirs and hydrological variables, including simulations and maneuvers during flood events. * Coordinate and execute substation maneuvers under strict safety protocols. * Conduct periodic inspections and prepare technical reports on equipment conditions. * Analyze unit performance using tools such as SCADA, EtaPRO, and the operator console. * Manage commissioning and handover of equipment after maintenance interventions (including LOTO application). * Prepare operational reports (hydrology, dispatch, incidents, failures, etc.). * Participate in asset improvement strategies (RCM, FMEA, APM) and root cause analysis (RCA). * Support compliance with the integrated management system (safety, quality, environment, and assets). * Drive continuous improvement in operational processes. **Requirements:** * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields. * 3–5 years of experience in operation or maintenance of power generation plants and/or electrical substations. * Knowledge of electrical power system operation. * Familiarity with SCADA and monitoring systems. * Knowledge of RETIE regulations. * Knowledge of LOTO procedures. * Strong commitment to safety and environmental protection. * Ability to respond effectively to critical situations. * Orientation toward continuous improvement and innovation. * Operational flexibility and adaptability
