Loading and unloading assistant: Position role: Support Area of knowledge: Loading and unloading of cargo vehicles. Other knowledge: Basic knowledge of goods and warehouse logistics. Skills: Training skills, composure, customer orientation, listening ability, prioritization. General outcome: Ensure the loading, movement, and unloading of units, complying with defined handling procedures at each stage and ensuring punctuality in delivery. Load and unload units against waybill and/or form, distributing the weight of the cargo evenly across the entire surface of the van and verifying label, packaging condition, and shipment contents. ✓ Demand payment of freight charges in cash or upon delivery; otherwise, do not receive or deliver the goods, respectively. ✓ Support dispatching, receiving, labeling, and storage of products, inventory control for the Operations and Warehouse Manager or operations supervisor, according to established guidelines. ✓ Support parking and vehicle positioning activities. ✓ Classify and zone merchandise at the dock/van to ensure quick location for respective loading and unloading. ✓ Complete and settle waybills (cash, upon delivery, credit). ✓ Report to the Operations and Warehouse Manager any suspicious situations arising during daily operations. Immediately report by phone all incidents to customer service or the Operations and Warehouse Manager and wait at least 10 minutes to confirm and implement the agreed solution with the customer. ✓ Keep the vehicle clean and in the best possible condition. ✓ Perform preparation and audit of goods at the client's facilities as designated by the Operations and Warehouse Manager. ✓ Handle the paperwork (forms, waybills, manifest) corresponding to the route. **IN CASE THE LOADING AND UNLOADING ASSISTANT TRAVELS WITH THE DRIVER, THE FOLLOWING TASKS WILL BE PERFORMED BY THE LOADING AND UNLOADING ASSISTANT:** ✓ Immediately record deliveries in the mobile application. ✓ Receive from the logistics and distribution point the paperwork, verifying that receipts and forms are fully completed, along with money, as applicable. ✓ Complete the route collection control form, obtaining signatures from the point and the company-designated responsible party for received funds. ✓ Deliver daily paperwork (receipts and forms) to the compliance department or operations supervisor as required. ✓ Complete and settle cash, credit, and upon-delivery waybills with all fields (declared value, recipient, sender, addresses, phone numbers, additional kilos, handling fee, and date). ✓ Deliver receipt books to receiving and distribution points. ✓ Verify that the entry and exit of units is always associated with a form (customer, delivery, and/or transmission). Technical or technological degree in inventory administration and control is required. Manage the control of physical and digital inventories, as well as the organization, filing, and custody of documents, ensuring traceability and availability of information. Main responsibilities: * Control inventory entries and exits. * Perform physical inventory counts and organization. * Update inventory databases and reports. * Conduct cyclic and general inventories. * Organize and archive physical and digital documents. * Support document management improvement processes - creation of guidelines. * Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
