Technical coordination with other disciplines and interference resolution Position Summary: An energy sector company is seeking a Structural Designer with experience in developing structural drawings and foundations for electrical infrastructure projects, preferably for medium- and high-voltage substations. The professional will be responsible for preparing the technical documentation required for manufacturing, construction, and assembly of structures, ensuring that designs comply with engineering criteria, technical standards, and project requirements. Main Responsibilities Develop structural drawings for electrical substations. Develop foundation drawings for electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and capacitor banks. Design substation steel structures, including frames, equipment supports, and insulator structures. Prepare shop drawings for manufacturing of steel structures, including component breakdowns, connections, base plates, and anchor bolts. Develop shallow foundation drawings such as footings, pedestals, and concrete pads. Support technical coordination with other disciplines, including electrical engineering, conduit routing, and control systems. Identify and resolve interferences among structures, conduit routing, and electrical equipment. Ensure drawings comply with applicable engineering criteria and technical standards. Requirements Academic Qualifications Technical or technological degree in Architectural and Engineering Drafting, Industrial Design, or Structural Design. Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Experience: 2–5 years of experience in structural drawing development. Experience in preparing steel or concrete structure drawings. Experience in shop drawings and structural fabrication. Desirable experience in infrastructure, industrial plant, or electrical substation projects. Tools / Software Mandatory: AutoCAD, CYPE.
