This role sits at the intersection of engineering, procurement, and construction, and is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping complex projects moving forward through disciplined materials management. **Purpose of the role** You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, control, and distribution of materials and equipment on site. The role focuses on maintaining a robust materials control system that aligns engineering requirements with construction schedules, while supporting Worley’s commitment to sustainability, safety, and operational excellence. Your work ensures that materials are available when needed, waste is minimized, and projects are positioned for successful execution. **Core Responsibilities** * Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications to accurately determine material requirements and confirm alignment with project scope and sustainability objectives. * Maintain and operate a comprehensive materials control and inventory management system, tracking materials from receipt through final issue. * Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and site teams to ensure materials are available at the right time and location. * Process material requisitions and orders, verifying specifications, codes, quantities, and approved vendors or brands. * Monitor material usage and inventory levels, adjusting forecasts and orders to reflect project changes or existing stock. * Identify potential material shortages, surpluses, or risks and develop practical, proactive mitigation plans. * Ensure materials handling, storage, and distribution activities comply with safety, quality, and project standards. * Leverage digital tools, ERP systems, and reporting processes to improve accuracy, visibility, and efficiency in materials management. * Provide guidance and technical support to team members involved in material control activities. * Communicate clearly and professionally with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain seamless material flow. \#LI\-JS4 **What you’ll bring to the role** * A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in material control, logistics, or supply chain management. * Demonstrated experience in materials management, logistics, procurement, or related roles within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors. * Strong ability to interpret engineering documents, blueprints, and technical specifications. * Proficiency with inventory management systems and ERP platforms. * A self\-directed work style, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks with minimal supervision. * Well\-developed analytical and problem\-solving skills, paired with sound judgment and attention to detail. * Working knowledge of safety and quality standards related to material handling and storage. * Clear, effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse project teams. * Flexibility and resilience in a fast\-paced, changing project environment.
