Job Opening – Civil Engineer or Geological Engineer with Geotechnical Focus Position: Geotechnical Professional Main Area: Slope stability, soil studies, and hazard analysis Modality: In-person / Hybrid Location: CALDAS, ANTIOQUIA Contract Type: SERVICE CONTRACT ✅ Required Profile Civil Engineer or Geological Engineer required with: * Postgraduate degree in Geotechnics or certified professional experience in the field. * Minimum of one (1) year of experience in: * Preparation of soil studies according to the Seismic Resistant Standard NSR-10 for construction permit procedures. * Analysis of slope stability using methodologies such as Bishop, Janbu, or other geotechnical assessment techniques. * Writing geotechnical technical reports, including interpretation of SPT, CPT, direct shear, triaxial, and other laboratory and field tests. * Detailed hazard assessments for mass movements, geotechnical zoning, and proposal of mitigation measures. * Flood or flash flood hazard studies, applying hydrological and hydraulic criteria in risk zones. * Demonstrable proficiency in specialized software such as: * SLIDE or GeoStudio for stability analysis. * ArcGIS for geotechnical mapping and spatial analysis. * Civil 3D and AutoCAD for design, drawings, and terrain modeling. Main Responsibilities * Conduct geological and geotechnical field reconnaissance. * Perform calculations and modeling for natural and artificial slope stability. * Prepare technical reports according to NSR-10, Decree 1807 of 2014, and municipal regulations. * Develop designs for mitigation works against risks from landslides, erosion, floods, or flash floods. * Coordinate laboratory tests, drilling, topographic surveys, and production of technical maps. Academic and Technical Requirements * Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Geology. * Postgraduate education or proven experience in Geotechnics or related fields. * Proficiency in SLIDE, ArcGIS, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD. * Knowledge of current regulations: NSR-10, Decree 1807 of 2014, and local urban licensing guidelines. * Excellent technical writing skills and strong analytical ability.
