A prominent company in the garment industry, located in Medellín, is seeking experienced personnel with a minimum of one year’s experience in garment manufacturing to join its team as a Fashion Pattern Designer. Academic Qualifications: Technician or Professional Degree in Fashion Design. Responsibilities: * Prepare technical specification sheets * Create and modify patterns * Research fashion trends * Develop fashion collections * Illustrate fashion wardrobes * Select collection colors * Choose collection designs * Select collection fabrics * Create references (refs) for the new collection * Direct communication with the manager * Produce the collection sample book * Fit and adjust samples * Direct communication with suppliers (laundry and textile companies) * Approve artwork delivered by graphic designers * Calculate fabric yardage requirements for cutting and marking departments Knowledge Requirements: - Production and processing - Design - Proficiency in ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) - Industrial, fashion, and interior design - Textile products (apparel, footwear, and leather goods) Skills: - Assertive communication - Critical thinking - Teamwork - Solving complex problems - Technology design - Judgment and decision-making - Time management - Working under pressure - Proactivity - Creativity Salary: COP 2,000,000 + Transportation Allowance.
