This position is within Cargill’s protein and salt business, through which we supply high-quality, nutritious food products to a broad range of customers—from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters. **PURPOSE AND IMPACT OF THE ROLE** ----------------------------------- The Plant Operations Supervisor provides strategic operational oversight for all production operating facilities with moderate presence across multiple regions or moderate complexity. In this role, they will supervise and hold operating facilities accountable for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance standards. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** --------------------------- * Execute routine operations in the assigned area, ensuring direct reports follow policies and procedures related to employee safety, food and feed safety, and environmental compliance. * Monitor production outcomes, volume, and quality to ensure food safety and customer requirements meet specifications. * Collaborate with production supervisors to resolve customer specifications and timelines. * Manage the production budget for a department, process, or shift; execute purchase orders; and ensure timely invoice payment. * Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations across all production processes for departments, processes, and shifts. * Develop, supervise, and deliver training to direct reports—including company core values, coaching, and guiding principles—for assigned facilities or regions. * Other assigned duties. * Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
