




Job Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the operation, optimization, and maintenance of biogas and electrical power plants, as well as supervise their automation. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead operation, control, and optimization of biogas and energy plants. 2. Supervise automation of biogas, energy, and biomethane plants. 3. Perform equipment maintenance and coordinate construction works. Biogás Colombia SAS ESP is a company dedicated to landfill biogas treatment, electricity generation from biogas, and biomethane production. We require a Mechanical Engineer to perform the following duties: * Participate in—and subsequently lead—the operation, control, and optimization of the biogas plant and the electrical power generation plant. * Contribute to restructuring—and subsequently supervise—the automation of the biogas plant, the electrical power generation plant, and the biomethane plant. * Maintain the gas collection network, all equipment in the biogas plant, and electromechanical equipment across both plants. * Coordinate construction work execution, managing personnel and contractors. * Calculate and monitor emission reductions achieved by the plant through preventing landfill biogas (from RSDJ) from being released into the atmosphere. * Be responsible for documenting technical processes and operational reports. * Respond to contingencies and propose improvements to enhance process efficiency and continuity. **Experience**: Minimum 1–2 years related to the following sectors: *Oil and gas, power generation, process engineering, projects, piping, or gas.* Contract type: Indefinite Work mode: On-site Working hours: Full-time Location: Doña Juana Sanitary Landfill, Bogotá, Colombia Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
