Our Machinery team is seeking a Technical Assistant to join Inchcape Colombia. The purpose of this role is to ensure comprehensive technical support for the company’s machinery team, providing specialized assistance to internal operations and field activities. Ensure proper management of warranties, recalls, and support requests submitted to manufacturers, thereby maintaining equipment operability, quality, and reliability. **Your Responsibilities:** * Provide advanced technical assistance to the Material Handling department, covering equipment such as forklifts, stackers, pallet trucks, narrow-aisle trucks, trilateral trucks, and construction machinery. * Deliver effective solutions to technical issues exceeding the capacity of field technicians, preparing required reports to escalate cases to the manufacturer or OEM. * Manage the end-to-end warranty process, including preparation and submission of reports, filing warranty claims with manufacturers, tracking payments, and controlling provisions. * Implement and maintain new warranty-handling controls established by Inchcape (e.g., destruction timelines, expense control, payment validation, and reconciliation of claimed vs. paid warranties). * Coordinate and support technical and product training programs for operational and administrative staff, promoting continuous learning and strengthening technical competencies. * Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of technical and administrative processes within the department, aiming for efficiency and satisfaction of both internal and external customers. **About You** To succeed in this role, you will have: * A technical diploma, technological degree, or be a final-semester student in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering. * Minimum 2 years of technical experience with forklift equipment. * Specific knowledge: Intermediate Excel. **What We Offer:** At Inchcape, we are building the future of mobility—and invite you to build it with us.
