We have presence across four continents and our headquarters are in Oslo, Norway. **Primary purpose of the position** We are currently seeking an Environmental Technician in Girardot, Colombia, to become part of our global team, working together toward our vision: *Improving our future*. Support in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project environmental practices, ensuring compliance with Scatec's Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) management system, Colombian legislation, and international standards, contributing to mitigation of environmental impacts and continuous improvement of environmental processes \- Contract type **fixed term up to 3 years.** **Main responsibilities** * Support in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of environmental aspects and impacts. * Ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations (e.g.: IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability, Health, Safety, and Environment Guidelines, ISO 14001\). * Coordinate environmental control actions with contractor representatives. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on sustainability projects. * Support implementation of environmental management, monitoring, and mitigation plans, waste management, and resource efficiency and pollution prevention programs. * Develop environmental awareness campaigns and training sessions. * Conduct field environmental inspections of work sites, areas, and equipment. * Support internal and external environmental audits. * Identify and report environmental non-conformities and incidents. * Prepare environmental reports for various stakeholders. * Maintain updated records of licenses, reports, and regulatory documents. * Ensure compliance with Colombian environmental legislation (e.g: ANLA, MinAmbiente). **Qualifications and competencies** * Technical or technological education in Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, or related fields. * 2 to 3 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in energy or infrastructure projects. * Knowledge of Colombian and international environmental regulations. * Fluent Spanish; intermediate English desirable. * Environmental monitoring * Document management * Use of technical equipment * Knowledge of local environmental legislation * Knowledge of ISO 14001 standard **Personal characteristics** It is part of every employee's responsibility to contribute to Scatec's vision: *Improving our future*, and to act in line with our corporate values:* **Predictable:** demonstrates clear communication and listening skills, shares information openly and honestly. * **Results-oriented:** demonstrates determination, proactiveness, ability to prioritize, and work independently. * **Change agent:** demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit, ability to question, learn quickly, take initiative, and adapt. * **Teamwork:** demonstrates collaboration, shares responsibilities, knows how to commit, and maintains a positive “can-do” attitude. **What we offer** Scatec is an exciting, innovative, and ambitious company operating in a growing industry.
