




Job Summary: Civil Engineer/Geologist with emphasis on geotechnics, responsible for the design and consultancy of geotechnical works, foundations, and soil investigations for civil engineering projects. An engineering technical services company and other related consultancy activities—including drilling and exploration, laboratory testing of soils, concrete, pavements, and construction materials—requires a **CIVIL ENGINEER / GEOLOGICAL ENGINEER** for its team. **REQUIREMENTS:** * **EDUCATION:** Civil Engineer / Geological Engineer, preferably with emphasis on geotechnics. * **EXPERIENCE:** 3 years. * **CONTRACT:** Indefinite-term contract. * **WORK HOURS:** Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Provide recommendations for stability works and foundations for any type of civil engineering project. * Design geotechnical works for disaster mitigation and prevention. Design foundations for any type of civil engineering project. * Receive exploratory boreholes where applicable, and support the geological description and geotechnical characterization stages required in the report. * Schedule laboratory tests relevant to samples obtained during field exploration phases, and verify that test results align with observations reported by the Director of Exploratory Drilling and Boreholes and the Laboratory Director. * Locate exploratory boreholes in the field for consultancy work development. Coordinate professionals from various disciplines involved in consultancy projects—including geology, geotechnics, fieldwork, and laboratory work. * Maintain continuous communication with the Director of Exploratory Drilling and Boreholes for project execution. Interpret and prepare drawings using specialized computer-aided design software, serving as inputs for future analyses. * Prepare final reports including completed work and recommendations formulated per project and consultancy contract. * Support proposal and/or quotation preparation; upon client approval of the project, manage its budget control, ensuring any deviations are approved by the Director of Studies and Design. * Conduct technical visits before, during, and after consultancy execution, according to project needs, to verify conditions (e.g., drill hole locations, ground stability, etc.). * Review information provided by the client regarding the project. * Attend or accompany the Director of Studies and Design to technical committees when required. * Support responses to technical, legal, or contractual requests related to executed projects raised by clients, public or private entities. * Ensure preservation and proper storage of records associated with project execution. * Support administrative tasks within the department, such as billing control, performance indicators, advance payment requests, travel allowance requests, among others. * Perform all activities prioritizing personal, colleagues’, and equipment safety, and promptly report any incidents occurring at one’s work site. * Use personal protective equipment. Fieldwork mandates wearing boots, helmet, vest, among others. * Establish satisfactory relationships with all company personnel and personnel from other companies involved in the project, based on mutual respect. * Travel between the office and various work sites to carry out field activities, following prior coordination with the Director of Studies and Design. * Legally account for all financial resources assigned for normal project execution requiring company maintenance. * Request authorizations in advance for medical appointments, personal errands, leaves, and vacations from the Director of Studies and Design. * Participate in primary group meetings and other meetings convened by peers or superiors.
