At Five9, we work in small teams and move fast to drive our products and business to the next level. We look for crucial skills in team members such as a problem\-solving mindset and intellectual curiosity, along with comfortable integration into a deeply collaborative system that rewards impact. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, implementation, and automation of large\-scale distributed systems. * Build tools and automation that help Five9 achieve higher availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency. * Work with Engineering teams to deliver high quality software in a fast\-paced environment. * Monitor production and development environments to build preventive measures and provide a seamless customer experience. * Work with delivery teams on software improvements to achieve higher availability and lower MTTD. * Participate in on\-call rotation. **Key Requirements:** * 3\-5 years of public cloud experience (GCP or AWS). * Private cloud experience (Openstack, VMware ESXi). * Linux (Centos/Ubuntu) and Networking experience. * Orchestration and management of containers using Kubernetes, Helm, GKE and Docker. * Experience with Gitlab, ArgoCD, CI/CD methodologies \& tools. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Python or other scripting languages. * Experience with config management tools such as Ansible and Puppet. * Experience in monitoring systems: Prometheus or LogicMonitor. * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. * Experience with Incident Management Process, SRE best practices and continuous improvements. * Experience designing large scale distributed systems. * Strong verbal and written communications skills. * Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
