You will work closely with developers to ensure smooth API integration, enhance platform scalability, and contribute to strategic infrastructure initiatives on Google Cloud. Join us to shape a reliable, secure, and high\-performing platform—apply today to make an impact. **Responsibilities** * Support deployment and operationalization of Kong Gateway using Kong Operator * Configure and manage Kong Gateway instances including routes, services, plugins, and consumers * Implement and automate enrollment into Kong’s API Catalog and Developer portal * Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless API onboarding and integration * Enforce best practices for API publication and consumption * Troubleshoot and resolve API connectivity, performance, and security issues * Contribute to re\-platforming initiatives across SCM, CI/CD, and Kubernetes * Enhance observability tooling for platform services * Champion automation to improve platform reliability and scalability * Participate in strategic infrastructure initiatives * Provide input to improve developer experience * Deliver operational support for platform services * Be open to participating in paid on\-call rotations **Requirements** * 3\+ years experience in DevOps engineering with focus on API Gateways * Hands\-on experience with Kong Gateway operations and support * Proven leadership skills in guiding platform engineering initiatives * Track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects * Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services * Strong knowledge of Kubernetes cluster management * Advanced troubleshooting and problem\-solving abilities * Excellent collaboration and communication skills * Strong commitment to platform scalability and reliability * Advanced English proficiency (C1 — Advanced) **Nice to have** * Experience with infrastructure as code tools * Familiarity with container orchestration beyond Kubernetes * Knowledge of microservices architecture * Certification in Cloud or DevOps disciplines
