Job Summary: A major multinational company is seeking a Junior Buyer to analyze and manage supplier assortment, ensuring inventory optimization and efficiency in domestic and international procurement. Monitor high-demand products and maintain appropriate stock availability Multinational company engaged in the importation, marketing, and distribution of products and solutions for the hardware, automotive, and industrial sectors requires the following position for its team: POSITION: Junior Buyer DIRECT REPORTS: N/A REPORTS TO: Procurement Manager in Costa Rica · POSITION MISSION: Continuously analyze the assortment of assigned suppliers to determine procurement requirements, using the Forecasting and Inventory Planning System. EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE: University graduates or students in final semesters of related fields. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of experience in domestic and international procurement. RESPONSIBILITIES: Verify systems for monitoring procurement, costs, sales, and margins, and coordinate necessary price adjustments. Review purchase orders against proformas and/or invoices regarding prices and quantities. Review assigned suppliers monthly to generate purchase orders. Monitor high-demand products and maintain appropriate stock availability according to established inventory policies. Track purchase orders to ensure compliance with scheduled delivery dates. Perform product onboarding for new items, update descriptions and references, and review/request active, discontinued, clearance, and backorder items. File claims with suppliers for discrepancies identified upon cargo receipt. Negotiate price improvements and propose supplier support. Monthly procurement volume of USD 400,000 to 500,000. Procurement of automotive consumables, electric tools, and automotive line items according to requirements. No procurement of general consumables; procurement of electric tools, manual tools, and automotive line items only. COMPETENCIES: Negotiation and assertive communication. Planning and organization. CONTRACT: Indefinite-term SALARY: COP $2,800,000 base salary plus COP $500,000 transportation allowance. WORKING HOURS: Monday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Tuesday–Friday 7:30 AM–5:30 PM.
