Job Summary: A major detergent company is seeking a Lathe Assistant to support operations, manufacturing, and fitting of mechanical parts, with proficiency in handling hand tools and measuring instruments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Support in conventional lathe operation 2. Manufacturing and fitting of mechanical parts 3. Handling of hand tools and measuring instruments A leading national manufacturer of powdered and liquid detergents requires a Lathe Assistant for its production team. -Education: High school diploma, Technical or Technologist degree -Experience: 6 months; basic welding knowledge; proficiency in hand tools such as grinders and drills; familiarity with measuring instruments including calipers, internal and external micrometers, dial comparators, and gauges; ability to operate machines including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and saws. -Responsibilities: Assist in conventional lathe operation; manufacture and fit mechanical parts; perform equipment cleaning and maintenance; handle hand tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers); assist in assembly and disassembly of parts; comply with safety procedures and regulations; support assigned activities in the production area. Salary: To be agreed upon + statutory benefits.
