Job Summary: We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for the mining and energy sector, responsible for ensuring accounting accuracy, asset management, and regulatory compliance. Key Highlights: 1. Support in accounting closings and report submissions A company in the mining and energy sector is looking for an Accounting Assistant, a professional in Public Accounting with a minimum of two (02) years of experience in the accounting field. Responsibilities: Verify compliance with legal and accounting requirements for invoices, billing statements, and other supporting documents. Record and control the company’s accounting information, ensuring accurate classification and timeliness. Manage and maintain the fixed assets module, including updates, depreciation, and amortization. Perform accounting and bank reconciliations, ensuring financial data consistency. Prepare accounting information required by financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and government agencies. Support the preparation and submission of exogenous information to the DIAN (Colombian Tax Authority). Monitor progress of construction works or projects for control and payment purposes. Support monthly and annual accounting closings. Carry out other duties inherent to the position. Required Knowledge: Accounting analysis. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Bank and financial process management and control. Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel). SAP. Salary: To be agreed upon. Working Hours: Monday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday (remote work) from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
