You will steer FastAPI services, background processing, and medallion/data lake/star schema architecture, using GitHub Actions and IaC such as Bicep or Terraform. Apply and help us deliver durable pipelines and architectures that keep pace with changing requirements **Responsibilities** * Oversee and elevate Python backend services and background jobs, with a focus on FastAPI * Architect and improve data workflows using Pandas, Polars, openpyxl, and DuckDB * Drive design and upkeep of data lakes, medallion layers, and star schemas * Implement and grow CI/CD automation through GitHub Actions * Manage Azure deployments and operations using Container Apps, Azure Storage, Service Bus, and SignalR * Specify infrastructure configurations with Bicep or comparable tools like AWS CDK and Terraform * Promote effective use of GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to boost delivery speed and quality * Partner across teams to ensure scalable systems and streamlined performance * Address complex architectural and engineering challenges using advanced best practices * Oversee monitoring and lead response to critical incidents to protect system fidelity **Requirements** * Extensive Python experience (5\+ years) delivering web services and background jobs with FastAPI * At least 1 year of leadership experience coordinating technical direction and delivery * Deep understanding of Pandas, Polars, openpyxl, and DuckDB for data processing * Proficiency with advanced data architectures such as medallion layers, data lakes, and star schemas * Advanced expertise implementing and scaling CI/CD with GitHub Actions * Proven track record using Azure Container Apps, Service Bus, SignalR, and Azure Storage * Mastery of infrastructure\-as\-code tools, including Bicep, AWS CDK, or Terraform * Proven ability to leverage GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to strengthen development practices * English proficiency at B2\+ (Upper\-Intermediate) to communicate clearly and effectively **Nice to have** * Background with Airflow, dbt, and Streamlit for orchestration and transformation * Deep expertise in distributed processing, asynchronous workflows, and enterprise messaging patterns * Strong Snowflake experience with streams, tasks, pipes, stored procedures, and time travel scenarios * Notable experience in .NET web development supporting legacy .NET Core front\-end solutions * Hands\-on web development with Angular or Next.js frameworks
