Job Summary: A prominent company in the metal-mechanical sector is seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer/Technologist with experience in the design, installation, and programming of control systems for industrial projects. Leading the installation and commissioning of control and power systems **DESCRIPTION**: A prominent company in the metal-mechanical sector / manufacturer of conveyor equipment, located in the city of Medellín, requires an Industrial Control Engineer and/or Industrial Automation Technologist for its industrial project line. The candidate must possess advanced knowledge of control and power electricity; advanced expertise in the design and assembly of control panels; knowledge of designing and drafting electrical schematics for industrial panels; experience in electrical installations; and knowledge of motors and instrumentation. The candidate must demonstrate strong creative thinking to solve problems—from conceptualization through to implementation—addressing specific requirements. The candidate must be resourceful, proactive, capable of working effectively in teams and under pressure, and possess a high sense of responsibility and integrity. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Design, implementation, assembly, and testing of electrical/control panels focused on industrial process automation. · Execution of electrical installation (wiring and conduit routing) from designed panels to each involved equipment unit. · Development of programming for various processes, considering project complexity. · Generation of electrical schematics, control diagrams, and equipment layout drawings according to agreed-upon solutions and project specifications. · Lead the installation and commissioning of control and power panels, as well as all related sensors and other components associated with projects. · Plan, organize, and estimate aspects related to various technical proposals issued by the project evaluation department. · Plan, organize, execute, and monitor aspects related to the automation of different projects carried out by the company. · Handling of confidential information. · Integration of industrial control and communication systems. · Preparation of technical documentation (schematics, diagrams, reports, manuals). · Internal support to the project evaluation department regarding scope of offered services. · Compliance with quality and occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. **SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:** * Industrial Control Engineer and/or Industrial Automation Technologist. * Minimum experience: 3 years * English proficiency level: Basic * Willingness to travel: YES (high availability required for installations outside Medellín). * Salary: To be negotiated.
