The engineer will be responsible for building and improving user\-facing features using modern frontend technologies, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability of the application. The role requires close collaboration with cross\-functional teams, including product and design, and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities. Given the current context of the account, this role is critical to ensure continuity in frontend delivery and maintain stability while supporting ongoing product initiatives. **Responsibilities:** * Lead development of user\-facing web features and projects * Support technical SEO and frontend performance improvements * Make informed rendering decisions based on product and technical needs * Debug production issues using real tooling and clear diagnosis * Maintain code quality and follow existing engineering patterns * Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders * Use AI\-assisted tools thoughtfully as part of daily development work * Communicate progress, risks, blockers, and technical decisions clearly * Support best practices and contribute to a strong engineering culture * Mentor junior or mid\-level engineers when needed **Requirements:** * Strong experience in modern web/frontend development * Experience with B2C, e\-commerce, marketplace, martech, or high\-traffic consumer products * Hands\-on technical SEO experience in production, not only theoretical knowledge * Experience with structured data, JSON\-LD, canonical tags, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals * Strong understanding of rendering strategies, frontend performance, and web fundamentals * Experience debugging production issues with concrete examples of tooling, diagnosis, and before/after impact * Ability to work within existing codebases and follow established patterns * Daily practical use of AI tools in development workflows, with clear judgment on what to accept, rewrite, or validate * Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in a distributed team **Nice to have:** * Astro experience. * Preact experience. * Mentorship experience with junior or mid\-level engineers. **We offer:** **Well\-being:** * 10 working days of Paid Day Off within an individual year. * Up to 15 working days of Unpaid days off within an individual year. **Professional Growth:** * Mentorship program – available on request. * Platzi online course platform – stay up\-to\-date with the latest technologies and programming languages. * English courses and Speaking Club – attend English classes twice a week in small groups. **Added advantages:** * Work equipment (Laptop, monitor, and small devices compensation). * If you know someone you believe is a good fit for our cooperation, you can recommend them and get a reward. * Public Holidays – celebrate 18 statutory holidays in Colombia. * Sombra events – Join Sombra’s traditional events (both online and offline).
