Position: Electromechanical Technician or Technologist Salary: Starting at $1,900,000 monthly Position type: Full-time Company: Esmetalco Location: Itagüí Job Description At Esmetalco, a company dedicated to the design, fabrication, and assembly of metal structures, we are seeking an Electromechanical Technician or Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and availability of production machinery and equipment. We are looking for a committed individual with technical skills, proactive attitude, and focus on industrial safety, who ensures equipment efficiency through compliance with preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance plans. Required Knowledge · Operation of machines and tools. · Preparation and maintenance of electromechanical equipment. · Identification of workplace hazards and risks. · Use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE). · Electrical hazards and control of dangerous energies. · Lockout and tagout procedures (LOTO). · Basic knowledge of welding and oxy-cutting equipment. Main Responsibilities · Inspect, repair, and maintain production machinery and equipment in optimal condition. · Diagnose failures and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. · Coordinate the acquisition of spare parts and materials required for maintenance. · Carry out preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance according to established plans. · Inspect and evaluate equipment condition according to technical standards. · Monitor component status and prepare technical reports. · Replace defective parts or components to ensure operational continuity. · Train operational staff in autonomous maintenance (cleaning, inspection, and lubrication). · Integrate new equipment into the general maintenance plan and the OHS system. · Repair and report anomalies in welding and oxy-cutting equipment. · Fulfill assigned service orders and report incidents or delays. · Prepare technical reports and submit monthly updates to the OHS department with evidence of repairs. · Support updating preventive and predictive maintenance plans. · Perform other duties assigned by their immediate supervisor. Requirements · Education: Electromechanical Technician or Technologist, or in Industrial Maintenance. · Experience: Minimum of 1 year in similar positions. · Knowledge: Mechanical and electrical maintenance, tool handling, fault diagnosis, and industrial safety. · Personal competencies: Responsibility, teamwork, attention to detail, results-oriented, and compliance with OHS regulations.
