Description

As a Track \& Trace Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of our customers’ drayage freight by carrying out tactical tasks within our operating system, as well as monitoring and managing container movements from the port or rail ramp to final delivery. This role ensures timely updates, accurate documentation, and proactive communication between carriers, customers, and internal teams. Drayage freight is defined as the actual drayage move, as well as any associated Transloading and Storage shipment * Monitor and track container movements using TMS (Transportation Management System), port/rail websites, and carrier updates. * While maintaining frequent communication with carriers and/or storage providers, identifying, relaying, and recording in transit issues such as delays or missed appointments to the Drayage Coordinator. * Communicate accurate status updates of shipments, including in\-transit notifications and estimated time of deliveries, relaying important details to the right parties so they can communicate with the customer. * Maintain accurate documentation for all drayage and transload moves, including BOLs, delivery receipts, and detention/demurrage records. * A primary goal of this role is to monitor and document all ad hoc accessorial charges incurred during transit to ensure accurate accrual and prevent excessive cost scenarios. Communicate any accrued accessorials to the Drayage Coordinator for timely review and resolution. This occurs in transit by monitoring the assigned loads. It concludes once the shipment(s) are complete with the verification of shipments return to port on the carrier provider side. * At all times, whether internal or external, ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and operational proficiency to meet organizational growth and profitability targets. * Collaborate with Drayage Operations Manager and Customer Sales/Ops Coordinators to effectively communicate pending work and/or unresolved problems at the end of the workday to appropriately shift workload(s) over to after\-hours support. **Qualifications:** * 2\+ years of experience in drayage, intermodal, or freight operations preferred. * Experience in logistics/transportation is a plus * Strong professional written and verbal communication skills * Proficient with MS Office, with expertise in MS Excel * Detail\-oriented with strong organizational skills. * Familiarity with Highway, DAT, MacroPoint, Aljex, and Greenscreens.ai is a plus **Characteristics, Experience, and Skills:** * Efficient time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast\-paced environment. * Strong negotiation skills * Proactive decision\-making and problem\-solving skills * Self\-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and competitive nature * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions #### **Working****conditions****:** * Working schedule: Mon\-Fri 06:30\-15:30 CST * Competitive Salary in USD * Remote mode of work * 10\+ business days of paid time off * Equipment provided * A supportive team * Remote eligibility Join our team and become an integral part of our mission to provide reliable and efficient freight transportation solutions to our customers.
