Wood is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Projects business unit, focusing on the Oil, Gas and New Energies (OGNE) area. This opportunity is on-site.
**The Role**
Wood Colombia is seeking a professional Mechanical Engineering team member with a minimum of 6–8 years of specific engineering project experience in the Oil & Gas sector, to serve as a Mechanical Engineer. Work location: Bogotá. Experience emphasizing static equipment specification and selection; experience preparing data sheets and material requisitions for mechanical equipment procurement; minimum English language level: B2.

* Preparation of discipline-specific technical documents, data sheets, technical specifications, and material requisitions for mechanical equipment (rotating and packaged units).
* Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards for the project.
* Ensure designs meet client technical specifications and sound engineering practices.
* Review/participate in technical review workshops—Peer Review, Design Review, Constructability—whether virtual or on-site in Bogotá.
* Comply with the quality procedure for reviewing project engineering deliverables.
* Support Package Mechanical Leads and Project Discipline Focal Points in technical planning and execution, checks, reviews, audits, etc., per TechX.
* Ensure responsible and efficient use of organizational assets assigned (tools, materials, equipment, information) for performing duties.
* Attend internal discipline meetings with the project and with the client.
* Attend field visits, meetings, and workshops conducted by the discipline.
* Execute any other responsibilities assigned by your immediate supervisor and aligned with Company needs.
