Position Summary: Construction Assistant responsible for receiving, sorting, registering, storing, and dispatching goods, as well as transporting and handling materials. Key Responsibilities: 1. Comprehensively manage the logistics of goods and materials in warehouses. 2. Organize and control inventories of construction products. 3. Handle and load/unload materials according to safety regulations. Company engaged in the commercialization and importation of ceramics, porcelain tiles, and accessories, located in downtown Medellín, requires a male Construction Assistant. The candidate will be responsible for receiving, sorting, registering, storing, and dispatching goods, as well as preparing orders according to established requirements. Additionally, the candidate must transport materials within operations, performing loading and unloading tasks for construction products. Duties: - Plan, direct, and control receiving, shipping, dispatching, registration, and control activities for goods, based on their nature, processes, storage systems, methods, and regulations. - Verify distribution of goods and materials, assess needs, and submit restocking requests. - Inspect, formalize, and deconsolidate incoming supplies and goods against invoices and other documents. - Organize, locate, inventory, and maintain records of stock, materials, supplies, and inventory items according to applicable methods and regulations. - Receive, store, and dispatch tools, spare parts, and various equipment. - Handle materials, cargo, or goods by sorting, packing, unpacking, packaging, marking, labeling, unitizing, and consolidating per customer requirements, methods, regulations, and product type. - Load and unload goods in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. - Operate material-handling equipment and tools following manufacturer’s manuals and safety regulations. - Stack goods in warehouses according to instructions. - Inspect materials, goods, or container and crate loads, completing warehouse orders. - Maintain the warehouse area in good condition. - Perform related duties.
