Planning and validation of new tests A company in this sector requires a Laboratory Analyst to perform the following functions: collect and process clinical samples; attend to patients referred for laboratory testing; comply with biosafety standards, sample handling, and reagent management; adhere to guidelines established in the biosafety manual and those required by the risk assessment; ensure proper care and preservation of resources assigned for procedure execution (fixed assets, consumables, utilities, and other required items); prepare reagents and solutions required for analytical phase processes; analyze and validate quality controls and results; provide information to patients and/or clients when required, within confidentiality conditions; plan and validate new test assays for implementation in the laboratory; supervise the preparation of culture media and solutions by the laboratory assistant. Education: Bachelor's degree in Bacteriology or Microbiology. Experience: 5 years.
