Utilize modern tools: FastAPI, Pandas, Polars, Azure, GitHub Actions We are seeking a **Senior Python Data Engineer** to design and implement robust data solutions, drive innovation in data processing and reporting, and contribute to the development of scalable web services and pipelines within a modern Azure\-based environment. **Responsibilities** * Develop web services and background jobs using FastAPI * Build and optimize data processing and reporting workflows with Pandas, Polars, openpyxl and DuckDB * Design data pipelines with a focus on data lakes, medallion architecture and star schema * Implement CI/CD processes utilizing GitHub Actions * Deliver Azure\-based solutions with Container Apps, Azure Storage, Service Bus and SignalR * Automate infrastructure deployment using Bicep on Azure or transferable skills from AWS CDK or Terraform * Apply spec\-driven development practices with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code * Integrate and support data pipeline orchestration with Airflow, dbt or Streamlit **Requirements** * Minimum 3 years of working experience in Python development for data engineering * Expertise in Pandas, Polars, openpyxl or DuckDB for data processing and reporting * Knowledge of FastAPI for web services and background jobs * Familiarity with data lakes, medallion architecture or star schema for pipeline design * Proficiency in GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation * Background in Azure development with Container Apps, Azure Storage, Service Bus or SignalR * Competency in Bicep for IaC automation or transferable experience with AWS CDK or Terraform * Skills in using AI\-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code * Understanding of Airflow, dbt or Streamlit for data orchestration and reporting **Nice to have** * Knowledge of distributed processing, async workflows or enterprise messaging patterns * Experience with Snowflake including stored procedures, streams, tasks, pipes or time travel * Background in .NET web development with .NET Core * Familiarity with web development using Angular or Next.js
