**Bilingual Accounting Assistant** **Location:** Colombia (Medellín, Bogotá, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Armenia, Cali, Ibagué) **Position Type:** New hire **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. \- 6:00 p.m. (EST) **Employment Type:** Full-time **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented **Accounting Assistant** to support our accountants in the daily management of financial operations for multiple small clients. This is a hands-on, essential role to maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts through reconciliations, data entry, and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate has at least **1 year of accounting experience**, adapts well to dynamic environments serving multiple clients, and is willing to perform routine accounting tasks and administrative support with accuracy and efficiency. **Responsibilities** * Record financial transactions (funds received, disbursements, expenses) in accounting software and general ledgers. * Manage **Accounts Payable (AP)**: track invoices, process supplier payments, and monitor related balances. * Manage **Accounts Receivable (AR)**: generate invoices and track payments. * Prepare bank deposits (cash and checks). * Reconcile accounts by comparing bank and credit card statements against the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies. **Requirements and Skills** * **English proficiency level:** 8.0 \- 9.0 * **Education:** Accountant * **Experience:** 1 year or more with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or accounting. * Proficiency with tools: QuickBooks, QBO, Microsoft Office, WellSky and/or AccessCare. * Experience in home health care businesses is a plus. * Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines. * Excellent communication and organizational skills.
