WHO WE ARE Aló Credit is a Colombian Fintech expanding across LATAM. We finance smartphones under the “Buy Now, Pay Later” model. Our systems process thousands of credit applications per month, integrated with credit bureaus, payment gateways, and telecom operators. And all of this requires someone to keep it running every single day. THE CHALLENGE We need a Python Developer with a SUPPORT and AUTOMATION mindset. Not to build new features (that’s a different role). To keep existing systems alive, resolve incidents when something breaks, and automate any operational process that can be automated. If it frustrates you to see an operations team manually repeating the same task daily—and your instinct is “let me automate that”—this role is for you. WHAT YOU’LL DO DAILY Diagnose production incidents: logs, error traces, database queries. Your inner Sherlock activates every time something fails. Build automation scripts: bank reconciliations, daily reports, bulk processing of CSV/Excel files, targeted integrations. Your signature stays on every process you automate. Query and manipulate databases Complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL and MySQL to address operations cases. SQL is your daily language. Maintain internal tools: APIs and internal applications built with Django and FastAPI. You don’t build them from scratch—you maintain, improve, and debug them. Generate automated reports Operational reports that nobody previously wanted to generate because they took hours. You convert them into self-running scripts. Document what you resolve Every diagnosed incident becomes documentation so the next one is resolved faster. Operations scale on your work. Coordinate with operations and technical leads: You don’t work in isolation. You speak with the operations team when a case arises. You escalate to senior teams when needed. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING Graduate in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Technologists with solid experience are also welcome. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Python (not total years—specifically with Python). Solid SQL skills (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL). Not just SELECT * FROM. Real-world queries—joins, aggregations, basic optimization. Experience with Django and/or FastAPI at the level of consumption and maintenance. You don’t build from scratch—you modify, improve, and debug existing code. Proven automation capability. If your CV mentions scripts, reconciliations, bulk file processing, or automated reporting—you’re our ideal candidate. Ability to read and interpret logs and error traces. When a system fails, you can calmly read a stack trace without panicking. Problem-solving mindset. Challenges energize you—not frustrate you. STRONG PLUS IF YOU HAVE Experience in fintech or financial services (you understand bank reconciliations, accounting processes, sensitive data) + Pandas and advanced data processing + Basic Docker knowledge + Basic AWS or other cloud knowledge + Technical English for reading documentation.
