If you are a Civil Engineer with at least 6 years of proven experience and seek a challenging role where you can apply your expertise in steel structures, bridge rehabilitation, and maintenance, this is your opportunity! **About the Role:** You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, supervising, and implementing innovative technical solutions aimed at improving, strengthening, rehabilitating, and maintaining bridges. Your focus will be particularly on steel structures, ensuring structural safety, durability of works, strict compliance with regulatory standards, and optimal use of available resources. **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct comprehensive structural assessments of existing bridges. * Design and implement rehabilitation and strengthening plans, with special emphasis on steel bridges. * Supervise interventions on existing structures, ensuring quality and safety. * Perform structural analysis and design of new bridges. * Evaluate and diagnose structural pathologies and corrosion phenomena in steel. * Propose and apply advanced structural strengthening techniques (e.g., plates, sections, post-tensioning, element replacement, among others). * Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards and codes (AASHTO, Eurocodes, national standards). * Participate in the analysis of mechanical behavior of steel structures. * Contribute to continuous improvement of construction and assembly methods for steel structures. * Guarantee application of the highest industrial safety and working-at-height standards throughout all project phases. **Requirements:** * Degree in Civil Engineering. * Minimum 6 years of verified professional experience in bridges and structures. * Demonstrated experience in structural assessment, rehabilitation, and strengthening of bridges, with a strong focus on steel structures. * In-depth knowledge of intervention techniques for existing structures. * Solid expertise in structural analysis and design of bridges. * Understanding of mechanical behavior of steel structures and their pathologies. * Familiarity with structural strengthening techniques and knowledge of applicable technical standards and codes. * Experience in industrial safety and working at height. **Preferred Qualifications (Desirable):** * Specialization or Master’s degree in Structures, Bridges, or Structural Engineering. * Experience in road or railway infrastructure projects. * Knowledge of structural pathologies and steel corrosion. **Why Join Grupo Ortiz?** We offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment where you will have the opportunity to lead large-scale projects and contribute to the development of critical infrastructure.
