Job Summary: You will support the execution of tests and product development, participating in production and quality control activities for thermoplastic materials. Key Highlights: 1. The Process Technician will support test execution and product development within the technology business unit, participating in activities including weighing, mixing, extrusion, and quality control of thermoplastic materials. You will be responsible for operating and supporting processes on equipment such as extruders and injection molding machines, ensuring adherence to established parameters and product quality. **Responsibilities** * Collaborate with a professional technical team on projects related to product development, process development, and application development according to the job’s functional area. * Support the execution of new experiments and sample preparation. * Process materials using mixers, single- and twin-screw extruders, Cowles mixers, injection molding machines, and testing equipment. * Support the Quality/Operations department in tasks you are qualified and trained to perform. * Establish and maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping conditions. * Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and properly in SAP or other physical and electronic media used in the area. * Support investigation and resolution of customer complaints. * Evaluate new raw material alternatives. * Generate ideas for procedural improvements enabling continuous improvement and organizational cost savings. * Attend and participate in training sessions and seminars relevant to this position. * Perform other duties as required. **Physical Requirements** Listed below are representative physical and environmental demands required of the employee to perform the job effectively. **Scope** Cota Plant \- Parcels The primary objective of this position is to provide support in extruding samples of solid and liquid formulations that meet quality requirements per Operating Instructions and Technology directives where applicable. **Required Education** High school diploma or technical degree in manufacturing processes or related fields **Experience** * 1–3 years as a production operator and/or process technician in masterbatch, thermoplastic compounds, or related industries. * Minimum 1 year of experience in plastic extrusion processes; masterbatch experience preferred. * Knowledge of the manufacturing industry, preferably in R&D for masterbatch or liquid pigments for thermoplastic resins. * Knowledge of raw material handling, mixture preparation, material processing, and quality control. * Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office suite. * SAP proficiency desirable. * Colorimetry knowledge desirable. **Work Location** Cota Parcels \- (Exiting Calle 80\) **Contract** Indefinite-term contract \+ Extra-legal benefits Rotating shifts from Monday to Saturday
